15.04.2020The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) monitors the motor fuel retail marketIn response to the signals received and the information disseminated in the media about the discrepancy between the significant decrease in petrol prices worldwide (by 47, 4%) in March as opposing to the respective decrease of the national retail prices for motor fuel (by approx. 11 %) for the same period, the Commission informs the public that it monitors retail prices and the dynamics of the national fuel markets.

The inquiry covers the period from 01.01.2016. to 30.09.2019. In view of the signals received in the course of the proceedings, the Commission examined the specifics and functioning of the electricity exchange market where the wholesale of electricity takes place.
